@cityandcolour has been with me for so long. This song has a place in my heart. Some day, someone really special will play it to me, hopefully without tainted, painful association. Hopefully with guitar of a better brand than Taylor. Everything I know about guitars is because of my very first boyfriend, Alan, in high school, who is incredibly gifted in playing music. It’s hard not to be reminded; both he and my most recent boyfriend also had Taylor guitars. I mean I know it’s a popular instrument. Everyone has weird associations though. Alan also got me into this artist City and Colour. Luckily, time allowed the music to surpass the past with sad associations.
